Towards the end of last year, Getty Images gave us their forecast for the visual trends of 2017. And now that the New Year is upon us, let’s take a look at some key predictions and how they may manifest in the employment communications space.

Unfiltered Authenticity

Right now there’s a growing desire for authenticity in imagery, especially with Millennials and Generation Z. To meet this demand, many companies will most likely shift to employer branding that more closely resembles real work-life.

Virtual Reality (VR)

In spite of the aforementioned trend, the popularity of VR technology is rapidly increasing. So don’t be surprised if virtual job fairs become the norm very soon.

Women Advancing

Women have moved far beyond traditional roles when it comes to their careers, families, lifestyles and more. And this year, we should see imagery of women pushed even further – as people and as professionals.
